Winter is over and we're done hibernating! The long awaited CD release of FEED THE MACHINE is happening Friday June 24th @ CLUB NV in our hometown of Brantford with now other than A WILHELM SCREAM and our homies in THE SNIPS! I woke up at the band house at about 9 a.m. I got my shit together and drove home. I made a coffee and crawled in to my hot tub. I chilled in there for about an hour. Then I went and got breakfast materials for my girls. I made them breakfast. I washed my outfit and put it on.
As most of you know I am hooked on jogging. I was running 5km everyday before work. This increases my chances of getting away from cops if I do something really stupid on the weekends. Well my obsession was short lived because after about 10 weeks of this I tore the meniscus in my left knee. I did this on Thursday.
Tonight we make our way to Georgian college in Barrie for our New Music Fest showcase at The Last Class student bar. In relation to this YOUTHINASIA has been nominated for a New Music Fest award in the category of Best Punk Band. The awards show is Sunday night in Barrie, which we sadly can not attend. However we would like to thank everyone that's been cheering us on!
I think this post is pretty self explanatory. Watch the video! It's the title track off our upcoming EP, FEED THE MACHINE which is set for release this fall. Other than that there's not much to say other than a bunch of thank you's. First accolade goes to our Las Vegas based director Brandon Christensen who endured interrogation at the border, a couple nights at the band house in Brantford and a ridiculous 24 hours of non stop filming to make this video concept come to life.
The Feed The Machine videoshoot was this last friday and what a day it was. A full 24 hours of special effects make-up, setting up, filming etc to be exact. We'll have the video posted this September for all you to see. YOUTHINASIA would also like to give a huge thank you to all that were involved! You know who you are and know that we couldn't have done it with out you!
